Privacy Policy
Yoke Calendar ("Yoke", "we") is an independent product operated by Xheldon. This policy explains what data the desktop app and the Yoke Teams service handle, and why. The short version: your schedule lives on your own computer; the team service only receives what you explicitly choose to share.
1. The desktop app (Yoke Calendar)
- Local-first. All projects, schedules, notes and images are stored in files on your device. We do not operate a server that receives them.
- Optional sync you control. If you enable sync, your data is written to storage you own — a private GitHub repository / Gist, or a WebDAV server you configure. Credentials for those services are stored encrypted by your operating system and are never sent to us. Optional end-to-end encryption with a passphrase is available.
- AI summaries. If you configure an AI provider, the summary text you choose to generate is sent directly from your computer to that provider under your own API key. We never see it.
- Anonymous usage analytics. The app sends anonymous, aggregate usage events (e.g. "a project was created", app version, platform) to help us improve it. No schedule content, names, notes or identifiers that could identify you are included. You can turn this off in Settings → System.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, a technical report (stack trace, app version, OS) may be sent to our error-tracking service. Reports are configured to exclude memory dumps, screenshots, local variables and breadcrumbs.
2. Yoke Teams (the team service)
Yoke Teams lets members of a team share the structure of their schedules with a team leader, who views them read-only at yokecal.com.
- What a member uploads. Only for the business lines you tick in Settings → Team: project names, phase names and dates, tags, an optional one-line "brief", and an archived flag — limited to a rolling 12-month window. Notes and images are never uploaded. The app shows you exactly which lines are shared.
- Member identity. A random identifier generated on your device and a display name you choose. No account, email or password is required to be a member.
- Leader account. A leader signs in with their email via a one-time link; we store the email, session tokens (hashed) and the teams they own. No passwords are stored.
- Retention. Uploaded snapshots replace the previous one. When a member leaves, their last snapshot is kept, frozen, so the leader can still report on past work — this is disclosed in the app before you join. The leader can delete a member's data at any time; a member may ask their leader to do so.
- Hosting and processors. The service runs on Cloudflare (Workers, D1) with data stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure. Sign-in emails are delivered by Resend. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record; we do not receive card details.
- AI summaries on the dashboard. The included quota is generated by open-weight models (e.g. GPT-OSS, Qwen) hosted on Groq under a zero-data-retention configuration, routed through Cloudflare AI Gateway for metering; prompts are not used for training.
3. Cookies and tracking
yokecal.com uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The dashboard keeps your session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in.
4. Your rights
You can export or delete all desktop data yourself at any time (it is just files on your machine). For Yoke Teams, contact us or your team leader to access, correct or delete data. We answer requests within 30 days.
5. Children
Yoke is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
6. Changes and contact
We will post updates to this page and change the date above. Questions: support@yokecal.com.
